membership information

ELCON, founded in 1976, is an association of large industrial consumers of electricity.  Our members have facilities in most of the fifty states and in many foreign countries.  These companies come from virtually every manufacturing industry.  Our member companies consume nearly six percent of all the electricity used in the United States.  These companies require an adequate and reliable supply of electricity at competitive prices.  In a recent poll by a Washington think tank, utility executives ranked "competition" as the most important issue facing their industry, closely followed by "retail access and sales."  ELCON has been, and will continue to be, a leading catalyst for change in the electricity industry.  Join ELCON and make a difference.

Non-industrial companies can also participate in ELCON through the Affiliate program (see below).
